On October 12th, we held an event with journalist Ohad Hemo. Hemo is a well-known reporter for Channel 12 news on Palestinian issues, and the author of a new book “On the Ground,” which offers insights into the conflict and Palestinian society through his many experiences and background knowledge. Over 80 leaders of the Israeli peace camp, including organizations leaders of our Two-State Coalition, joined us to hear Hemo’s take on the pulse of the Palestinian street and leadership, and to ask questions about the future. The discussion provided an important reminder of the nuances in Palestinian society and politics, and the obstacles that must be overcome on both sides in order to make progress towards peace.
