Two-day Seminar for Female Leaders and Opinion-Shapers

On 27th-28th May, we held a two-day seminar for 20 female leaders that brought together diverse voices in the public discourse from across society including Palestinian citizens of Israel, Russian speakers and religious women. Exploring the impact of the recent events on public opinion they heard from top experts about the significance of Jerusalem, lessons learned from negotiations, psychological barriers to conflict resolution and the international angle. Speakers included co-chair of the Geneva Initiative, Yossi Beilin; political psychologist, Dr Roni Porat; a female activist from East Jerusalem and a panel discussion with UNSCO’s Yoni Esphar, former MK Ksenia Svetlova, Ir Amim’s Director Yudith Oppenheimer and Israeli-Arab community activist, Samah Salaime.
The group includes elected officials, municipal leaders, Knesset candidates, journalists and civil society leaders. Their next session will take place in Ramallah.
