Meeting With Youth Activists From Ra’am, MK Mansour Abbas and MK Iman Khatib-Yasin

On August 30^th, MK Mansour Abbas, head of the Ra’am party, MK Iman Khatib-Yasin, and over 20 Ra’am youth activists joined us for a conversation with leading Israeli and Palestinian members of the Geneva Initiative. The discussion with guest speakers Brigadier General (Res.) Israela Oron, a leading Israeli member of the Geneva initiative, and Palestinian Director General of the Geneva Initiative, Nidal Foqaha, focused on what steps can be taken to promote a two-state solution on the political, diplomatic, and grassroots level in both societies, despite the complex current reality. The meeting’s conclusion was clear: mutual recognition and the creation of a Palestinian state are the key to building hope for a peaceful future and an end to the conflict.
