“Every day we don’t deal with the conflict is a missed opportunity. Our leaders here must be encouraged by the international community to promote a political horizon.” The GI’s Israeli Director, Gadi Baltiansky together with the Washington Institute’s, David Makovsky, briefed British Parliamentarians, including Labour’s Shadow Minister for the Middle East, on the barriers and solutions to reaching a political agreement. They discussed proposals like the Geneva Accord, the principle of land swaps, the issue of settlements and how the two-state solution remains the only viable outcome.
