On May 10th, fourteen counsellors, coordinators, and educators from the “Hehalutz” youth movement joined us for open and honest conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing the Israeli and Palestinian peace camps today. The group first met Nidal Foqaha, the Palestinian Director of the GI, who listed the challenges and opportunities facing the Palestinian peace camp and explained why it is so difficult for the voices of moderate Palestinians to be heard. The group then met MK Gilad Kariv, who presented the challenges and opportunities facing the Israeli peace camp and emphasized the importance of including young people in the peace process.
