On July 21-22, we held an intensive reconciliation seminar for Israeli and Palestinian young leaders, including parliamentary advisors, civil society activists, educators, and more from across the political and ideological spectrum. The seminar focused on the issues that divide the sides and contribute to lack of trust, in order to increase mutual understanding and provide our participants with the knowledge and motivation they need to create change in their own communities. Following the seminar, one of our Israeli participants invited a Palestinian peace activist to speak about the two-state solution to a group of over 70 Israeli teenagers, and a core group of Palestinian and Israeli participants are currently working on a new social media initiative to spread messages of reconciliation throughout their circles. We’re excited to follow and support the peace-building efforts of these young leaders going forward.
