Diplomatic Briefing: Conflict and Peace Policy After Elections

On November 15th, we hosted a policy briefing for 40 diplomats representing the United States, Germany, China, the Netherlands, Australia, Russia, Norway, Belgium, Ireland, Finland, the United Nations, and many more. Israeli Minister Nitzan Horowitz and Deputy Director Tehila Wenger shared their insights about the impact of Israeli election results on the conflict and the two-state solution. With a noticeable lack of advocates for peace in the expected governing coalition, Israeli civil society is now the first line of defense against harmful policies that undermine a future final status agreement between the sides of the conflict. We will continue to work with our Palestinian and our international partners to promote high-level discourse between the sides and support for the only viable solution to the conflict: a two-state solution.
