East Jerusalem Seminar Day for Arab and Jewish Young Leaders

East Jerusalem Seminar Day for Arab and Jewish Young Leaders

On May 30th, young and rising Arab and Jewish leaders from political, social activism, and education spheres came together for an intensive day of learning in and about East Jerusalem. Our participants, who have already learned about the core issues of the conflict and the two-state solution more broadly in introductory workshops, joined us for an on-the-ground tour of sensitive sites and overlooks of the city, discussions about borders, residential status, demographics, and legal frameworks relevant to Jerusalem, and an in-depth discussion with a Palestinian Jerusalemite urban planning expert about the daily issues on the ground in the city and various solutions, both in the short term and in a comprehensive agreement framework.

Our Israeli Young Leaders Reconciliation Training Project is supported by ifa – Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen ’s Zivik Funding Programme with funds from Auswärtiges Amt Federal Foreign Office.
