On July 21st, we were joined by over 40 journalists, political activists, and parliamentary advisors for a tour of Jerusalem with tour guide and conflict expert Dr. Shaul Arieli. The tour began at a viewpoint overlooking East Jerusalem, where Shaul spoke about the history and geography of the city at the center of the conflict, as well as the importance of Palestinian territorial contiguity. The group also visited areas where settlement construction is both planned and already underway to better understand the impact of settlement expansion on the Palestinian residents of the city, peace, and the viability of the two-state solution.
