A multi-day dialogue meeting held in Italy brought together Palestinian and Israeli experts — including former negotiators, security, legal, and economic specialists, as well as leading civil society figures — for in-depth deliberations on current challenges and prospects for peace. Discussions focused on lessons from past implementation efforts and complementary processes linked to the Trump Plan, alongside joint reflection on ways to re-engage Israeli and Palestinian societies in constructive two-state advocacy following the traumas and polarization of the past two years.
During the visit, the joint delegation met with key Italian stakeholders, including the President of the Emilia Romagna Region, the Mayor of Bologna, the CGIL trade union, and local civil society and religious figures. These meetings provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives, address questions, and strengthen international support for realistic, solution-oriented engagement with the conflict.
