In collaboration with Peaceworks, we participated in a joint online meeting bringing Israeli and Palestinian peacebuilders into direct conversation with 40 students at Tech Valley High School in New York. The session provided students with a unique opportunity to hear about the challenges, opportunities, hopes, and fears of those working in peace-building today, while also better understanding the basic narratives and needs of Palestinians and Israelis.
Students asked questions about working towards peace during a time of extended and extreme conflict, as well as asking about the role that young people in the US can play in fostering dialogue and understanding.
