On May 31st, we held an opening enrichment workshop on the conflict for journalists from a variety of key press outlets in Israel. The event emphasized the importance of increasing public discourse about the conflict, and included a discussion with a senior Palestinian journalist about recent tensions and the way the conflict is portrayed in Palestinian media, followed by a debate between GI member Adv. Talia Sasson and MK Simcha Rothman from the Religious Zionist Party about their respective visions for solving the conflict. The next stop in the program is East Jerusalem for an in-depth geopolitical tour of one of the most sensitive issues in the conflict, followed by a dialogue meeting in Ramallah and other enrichment activities aimed at raising discourse about peace and the conflict throughout Israeli media outlets.
