On November 6th, over 30 graduates of our project for women leaders from Arab society in Israel met on Zoom to share their thoughts, feelings, and hopes for the future. In conversation with Geneva Initiative staff, participants shared their experiences of racism following the outbreak of the war, as well as the complexities that arise from their two identities: Israeli and Palestinian, while staff shared the position of the GI. The group spoke about the important role of Arab society in Israel in promoting discourse and reconciliation, the failure of ‘conflict management’ policies, and the need to create hope for a better future.
