On November 29th, over 85 Geneva Initiative program graduates, including journalists, political and social activists, and Palestinian citizens of Israel, joined us for an online conversation with General (res.) Ami Ayalon, former MK, minister, and head of the Shin Bet, in order to better understand possible scenarios for the “day after” the war. Ami laid out the different options Israel has following the war, discussed changes that need to be made to both Israeli and Palestinian leadership, and asserted the need for negotiations and a political solution. Ami answered an array of of questions about Palestinian public opinion, the Palestinian Authority, and regional dynamics in the Middle East in the context of the two-state solution.
