Parliamentary Advisor Negotiations Workshop

What are the obstacles to restarting negotiations from Palestinian and Israeli perspectives? What role can civil society play in drawing the sides closer together? What is the significance of Jerusalem in preserving or challenging the harmful status quo?

All of these questions were tackled in our capacity-building workshop on negotiations for Israeli parliamentary advisors. Participants represented a range of political backgrounds and parties. The speakers included former Minister of Justice and co-founder of the Geneva Initiative Yossi Beilin.

The workshop is part of a broader project focused on bringing Israeli journalists, politicians, and future leaders back into a discourse about peace and the two-state solution through the prism of one of the core issues of the conflict: Jerusalem. This project is funded by the Zivik Funding Programme.
