On 14th December, the British Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Consulate General in Jerusalem hosted an event for Israeli and Palestinian opinion-shapers who participated in our peacebuilding and dialogue projects, including senior journalists, reporters, social media activists, civil society leaders and public figures from across the political spectrum, as well as from religious and secular backgrounds. Consul-General, Diana Corner and Deputy British Ambassador Mark Power expressed their support and belief in facilitating vital opportunities for exchange between peoples, and the importance of the work that builds bridges, develops trust and hope for the future even when political circumstances are challenging.
We all left with renewed belief that we have committed Israeli and Palestinian partners for peace.
Palestinian and Israeli activists, journalists & public figures were hosted by @ukinisraelโs @markdpower & @UKinJerusalemโs @Diane_Corner last night to promote dialogue and understanding.
