Students from Haemek Army Preparatory College (Mechina) recently had the opportunity to meet with Military Officer Israela Oron (res.), former vice president of the National Security Council and a key leader of the Geneva Initiative, as part of their preparation for the upcoming West Bank Week. This program, common among many preparatory colleges, involves students traveling to the West Bank to engage with local residents and deepen their understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Brigadier General Oron met with the students to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, focusing on the core issues that have been hindering a resolution. She also highlighted past negotiations, particularly the agreements reached between the two parties within the framework of the Geneva Initiative. Her insights provided the students with valuable context, preparing them for their upcoming tour of the West Bank.
