When women are involved in peace processes, they increase the chance of reaching an agreement, and its ability to last. So why are so many still excluded from decision-making positions today?
On October 29th, a new cohort female leaders joined for a worksop on reconciliation and the conflict (the first activity in a cycle, including seminars, tours, and meetings with Palestinians). The participants come from diverse spheres of influence including local government figures, senior industry executives, and heads of social associations. During the meeting, they delved into Israeli public attitudes and opinions with top expert Dr. Tzipi Israeli from the INSS, and with GI leader Col. (Res) Dr. Shaul Arieli, they gained a historical perspective of the conflict and the current political dynamics. In the next few meetings, they will meet with Palestinian women in Ramallah, and acquire a toolkit of knowledge and skills to impact and spread the message to their networks.
