The US Ambassador to Israel Joins a GI Dialogue Meeting for Israeli and Palestinian Youth

In June, over 30 Israeli and Palestinian youth met in Tel Aviv to learn about the conflict and exchange personal narratives and experiences with each other. The group heard from the Israeli and Palestinian directors of the Geneva Initiative, who spoke about the conflict, past peace processes, and the need for reconciliation between the sides. The meeting was also attended by US Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides, as well as a USAID delegation including the Mission Director to the USAID West Bank and Gaza mission, Amy Tohill-Stull. Ambassador Nides emphasized the importance of the involvement of youth in the peace process and reiterated the U.S. government’s support of the two-state solution as the only solution that will bring an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
