On the 24th June, members of the Two-State Coalition (TSC) met with the Jordanian Ambassador to Israel, the Deputy Head of Mission and the Political Counsellor. The Ambassador expressed concerns about Israel’s annexation plans and said ongoing efforts were being made to prevent it. A small annexation is no less problematic than a large one, and in any scenario, Jordan will have no choice but to take steps against Israel. If annexation is avoided, he said that Jordan could play a role in renewing Israeli-Palestinian negotiations based on the Arab-Peace Initiative. We stand with those promoting bilateralism over dangerous unilateralism.
