Women Changemakers Discuss Peace Initiatives

A group of women changemakers from the Geneva Initiative, including both Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel from diverse professional backgrounds, gathered on December 12th to collaborate on a joint initiative aimed at promoting support for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict. During the meeting, the participants brainstormed strategies for advancing actionable solutions and outlined a series of operational steps they plan to implement in the coming weeks and months.

The meeting began with a focus on the importance of dialogue. Participants explored the principles of constructive communication, paying particular attention to the needs and expectations of each side.

Later, in a sharing circle, they engaged in a thoughtful discussion about the sensitive nature of language and word choice, emphasizing how language can shape and influence the discourse.

The second half of the meeting shifted to brainstorming initiatives aimed at promoting peace. Participants proposed a variety of ideas, including educational and community-based projects, all designed to foster understanding and build bridges between the communities.

The meeting concluded on an optimistic note, with all participants expressing a shared commitment to advancing the proposed ideas and working towards turning them into reality in the coming weeks and months.
