To round off our latest cycle of activities for women leaders, we convened a session to reflect on the meetings in Ramallah, seminars on reconciliation and how to operationalise this knowledge into action among the participants spheres of influence. The cohort includes dozens of leading women including a Member of Knesset, mayors, deputy mayors, journalists, educators, ultra-Orthodox activists, influencers in Arab society, and more.
During the session, the German Ambassador to Israel, Susan Wasum-Rainer addressed the group about the powerful role that women, and specifically civil society, can play in promoting societal change, drawing parallels from the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany. Other speakers included IDF Brig. (Res.) Gen Ruth Yaron on obstacles faced by women in the security and policy field, and journalist Mika Almog on communication through humour. Some of the women also featured in a video sharing their fears, hopes and ideas for peace building. You can watch it here.
