Women & Reconciliation: Workshop for Israeli Leaders

On 23rd April, we held a workshop for a group of diverse of Israeli female influencers from various backgrounds and spheres of influence including politics, local government, civil society, media and business. Advocate Talia Sasson, presented the GI’s model for Dealing with the Past including the four pillars related to the right to know, acknowledging the past, addressing justice and building a sustainable peace. Talia spoke about the importance of incorporating reconciliation into a peacebuilding process, and the indispensable role that women can and should play from the grassroots to the negotiation table. The second speaker, Dr. Shira Efron, an expert from the RAND Corporation, delved into the core issues of the conflict and current analysis related to the new US administration, the situation in the Gaza Strip and settlement activity. She also spoke about her research on the various solutions for ending the conflict and the strengths of the two-state solution.
