On the 16th July, we held a workshop for leaders of the Russian-speaking community in Israel as part of a broader course of activities. Dr. Yossi Beilin, co-chair of the Geneva Initiative, presented his analysis on the prospects for resuming a peace process and delved into anecdotes, failures and opportunities from previous efforts. Dr. Galit Deshe, convened a session about the Northern Ireland peace process, the continued challenges as well as lessons learned that can be applied to the Israeli-Palestinian context. Lana Eisdenstadt, and Igal Milner gave a dynamic presentation about the psychological barriers to conflict resolution that hinder us from overcoming some of the most deep-rooted emotional and sensitive issues at the heart of the political impasse.
This activity was conducted in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.
