Female leadership is often noticeably missing amongst the negotiators, politicians and security experts who take center stage in the peace process. On Tuesday, September 24th, the GI held its second meeting on the conflict and reconciliation for women leaders from civil society, politics, industry, and more. These meetings are run by women for women, with former state prosecutor Attorney Talia Sasson, mediator and attorney Einat Ronen, and Brigadier General (ret.) Israela Oron leading lively discussions about reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians. Our goal: give these inspirational influencers the tools to transform our societies’ discourse about peace.
Our participants came from all areas of Israel and represented diverse fields of expertise: directors of civil society organizations, industrial trailblazers, and religious leaders, among many others. They heard from GI experts on the conflict, peace process, and reconciliation and expressed strong interest in learning more about these issues.
