In May, we held a workshop for a group of 40 politically diverse young immigrants in Israel who came to learn about the relationship between democracy and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. After hearing from law professor Dr. Michal Saliternik about the intricacies of the proposed judicial overhaul, the Geneva Initiative’s Israeli Director, Gadi Baltiansky, discussed the implications of the proposed changes on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The lectures were followed by a Q&A session, where the participants asked many questions and engaged in a lively discussion with the lecturers about their personal perspectives on the judicial reform and the conflict.
