Young Leaders Workshop

On November 27, a dozen rising young leaders who work in municipalities, social activism, education, and integration of ultra-Orthodox in Israeli society came together to learn about a topic many of them rarely deal with directly, although it affects many aspects of their lives: the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the two-state solution. Participants heard from (and engaged passionately with) Talia Sasson and Sarah Haetzni Cohen, who presented their visions of the future for Israel in the context of the conflict. Following a lively debate, we met a young Palestinian peace activist for an open conversation about Palestinian public opinion, society, politics, and perspectives on the conflict. For many of our participants, it was their first direct discussion with a Palestinian from the West Bank.

Next stop in the reconciliation training: East Jerusalem.
