In mid-December, two of our most active youth cohorts ended their course on the conflict: rising influencers from the Russian-speaking community in Israel, and educators from the Halutz youth movement. The first cohort had a final seminar day diving into the history of negotiations with peace activist Anna Katz, engaging in an intensive Q&A with the GI Deputy Director, and receiving an insightful update about the situation in Gaza and the West Bank from a senior Palestinian journalist based in Ramallah. The Halutz group also heard from the Palestinian journalist, followed by a conversation with former MK Mossi Raz about how to engage Israeli society in peace-based discourse during the war and the importance of education in preparing the ground for a political agreement.
