As part of our ongoing reconciliation work, we launched a new cohort of young religious Israeli leaders on Friday, June 17th, with a focus on how to organize successful interfaith dialogue about peace, how to engage the religious Israeli community in reconciliation work, and an in-depth review of the religious, legal, and political factors shaping the issues around the Temple Mount/Al Aqsa compound today. Participants are religious educators, community leaders, and social activists from national religious and ultra-orthodox communities in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Rosh Haayin, and more.
Towards the end of the workshop, our trainer shared his personal motivation for engaging in interfaith peace-building work:
“Eventually, there will be self-determination here for two peoples. Our job is to maximize reconciliation to ensure the best possible future for both.”
