The GI’s Deputy Director, Tehila Wenger and board member of the Palestinian Peace Coalition, Nivine Sandouka, participated in an Israeli-Palestinian Peace Symposium webinar discussion entitled “Peace is possible and the only way.” Tehila introduced the Geneva Initiative, its mission and its action on the ground. She explained why the two-state solution is the most viable option for both Israelis and Palestinian and how we at the GI work to overcome obstacles in Israeli society that prevent us from making progress towards a negotiated settlement.
The livestream, which was viewed by more than 1,200 people, featured prominent speakers from various backgrounds working to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Panelists also included Mori Sela, founder of Israelis & Palestinians for Peace; Libby Lenkinski, vice president at the New Israel Fund; and Rabbi Dubi Avigur.
This event in the ongoing series was aimed at reaching out to the American community about supporting the efforts of the Biden-Harris administration to encourage peace talks in Israel and Palestine
